Peppermint Worried

Peppermint likes to join me on photo shoots, and I think she takes a special enjoyment in stepping into my shots at inopportune moments. A few days ago, when I was out scouting birds, she decided it would be fun to chase them just when we were getting close enough for a good shot. I just had to laugh. She seemed to be having such a good time.

But tonight, when we were outside, the distant rumble of thunder sent her right back to the garage door, where she patiently waited for me to finish. Not even the promise of a walk on the trail could inspire her to leave the safety of the house. But that’s OK. Thinking she might sense a more foreboding storm than I did, I took her lead and returned inside to observe the lightning from a safer vantage point.
