Fall Colors

Oh, to have the energy of an 11-year-old. Today’s cold, rainy weather didn’t inspire me to spend any time outside. In fact, I was quite content to catch up on editing photos and laundry while the buzz of the football games in the background kept me entertained. That’s not how it works for Cameron, though. After a morning spent indoors, he was ready for some action this afternoon. So, in between kicking the soccer ball and practicing his golf swing, he grabbed his camera to take some photos.

Well, I couldn’t let him get all the great shots! So, of course, I had to join him. We didn’t stay out long, however, as the cold and incessant drizzle allowed us only about 15 minutes. The unseasonable cool, wet weather has allowed the fall flowers to thrive, but the leaves are only sporadic in their coloration. We roamed around the yard shooting whatever caught our eye. Even though it wasn’t a day filled with memorable shots, I enjoyed sharing the passion of photography with someone I love. What could be better than that?
