Do you remember that Travelers Insurance commercial that features the white dog trying to protect his bone? He carries it to the bank, digs a hole for it out in the backyard and finally settles on insuring it under the Travelers umbrella. Well, I think Peppermint has seen that commercial one too many times.

Each time I give her her favorite Purina Busy Bone, she spends at least the next hour or so “burying” it all around the house, then changing her mind and finding another “better” spot. After creating a ruckus in the office burying it next to the shredder (and banging it against the side of the machine), she decided to carry it upstairs where I could hear her burying it under the pillows on one of the beds. Then, after jumping on and off the bed numerous times, she carried it into the laundry room and buried it next to the washing machine. Finally, she carried it downstairs to the living room, where she buried it under the cushions on the sofa. Afterward, she sat underneath the coffee table and stared at it for 15 minutes.

In the end, with few choices left, she decided that there was only one safe place for this coveted bone…
