Peppermint

The beauty of a spring morning on the mountain often features fog. While it’s not Peppermint’s favorite, she’d rather be outside in the fog than in the rain. Even though one of her favorite pastimes is finding every muddy puddle or stream to immerse herself in at the barn or on a hike, she’s not fond of the rain falling on her head. I’ll often have to force her off the front porch in the mornings or, I’m embarrassed to say, accompany her out with an umbrella if we’re on the way to the office. No, Peppermint won’t melt in the rain, but she’s done a very good job training me to think she might.
