I love my job! Today I spent the afternoon at Jonesborough Farm, working with Rie on the farm website. I love the creative process, combining content, photographs and graphics to design a site that ties together all the necessary information but also showcases the essence of person’s passion. It’s so rewarding to see it all come together.

The highlight of the day, though, was our photo shoot with Showffeur DDA at liberty in the covered arena. Under Larry’s direction, Rie provided the “energy” while I tried my best to catch the perfect Arabian moments. Showffeur was a wonderful model, and we all enjoyed watching him show off his spectacular gaits and superb athleticism.

I’ve always admired the Arabian horse. The first show I ever attended, at age 5, was an Arabian show, where one of the exhibitors gave me her fifth-placed ribbon as a souvenir. I kept that pink ribbon for years and years and always dreamed one day I’d own an Arabian. Now, I’m fortunate to be able to work with them and hold on to their beauty through the lens.
