I’ve often wondered what Cameron thinks about living on a mountain far from civilization. When we visit Grandma and Grandpa in South Carolina I know he loves the neighborhood life, riding his bike, playing ball with all the kids and the freedom to just walk over to his friend Jacob’s house anytime.
But on the way home from soccer practice tonight, as we drove through the neighborhoods in Leesburg, Cam and his teammate Robbie talked about how much they like living in the country. In the country they don’t have to worry about “bullies or people stealing stuff.” Maybe it’s not 100 percent true, but when they both agreed, in a southern drawl, that they liked “bein’ country boys” I just had to smile. Cam is indeed a product of his environment!
