I wasn’t quite tall enough to reach the prettiest flowers on the mimosa tree. Most of the lower branches were past their prime, but, nevertheless, I thought I’d play around with some macro shots anyway. This was one of my favorites; the expired flowers and seeds remind me of some alien landscape I’d seen in an old horror picture, where the movie producers would have these “life-size” pods reach out and attack an innocent passerby. No such issues tonight, though, just the rays of the setting sun providing a comforting script.
