The culmination of our day was an impromptu nine holes of golf at the Shenandoah Valley Golf Club. After a full day of activities, including golf lessons, shopping and the last Harry Potter film (which was awesome), we decided it was a lovely evening for a relaxing practice session before we returned home. It was still hot and humid, but a slight breeze and the abundant trees on this well-established course helped keep us cool. Cam took the opportunity to walk in the shade whenever possible, and it wasn’t to chase an errant ball. Most of his shots are true and straight, a testament to the joy he finds in the game and the resulting focus he employs. Now, I just need to figure out how to recapture that focus when I ask him to clean his room.
