Morning Hunt

I’m not sure the barn cat really hunts rodents because she usually has a full bowl of cat food, but this morning she was waiting patiently at the barn door staring intently in the corner. As I slowly approached, she remained fixated on the hunt, but then realized I might be more interesting as I crouched down to take a photograph. Because I was intent on catching her in the hunt, I didn’t have my camera settings quite right, but afterward I found this shot artsy and fun. Sometimes it’s good to pause before pressing that delete button.
