After judging the Elmington Farm Horse Show this afternoon in Berryville, Virginia, I stopped by the barn in Upperville to check on Teddy. It was a glorious evening, with some cloud formations on the horizon. Thankfully, I had my camera in the car and spent a few minutes walking around the farm and observing the birds and wildlife finishing their preparations for the night. The barn swallows were out in full force catching the last of the day’s insects, and the deer were slowly making their way out to the fields to graze, pausing occasionally to study their surroundings. It was the perfect end to a lovely day out in the country.
i love how you play with light and lines in your photos. Keep posting amazing photos! =)

Thank you! I did tweak it a little in Lightroom, but for the most part these were the colors. It was a gorgeous sunset.
I love all the different colors!
Thanks! Next time you’ll have to join me 🙂
Thanks for sharing. You have such a knack for putting the viewer right in the moment–I could see the swallows!
It’s funny. I did have a photo with the swallows that I almost selected. Perhaps I’ll post that image for you on one of my editing days!
What a glorious day . . . and photo!
Thank you so much!
I think I will definitely think about painting this photo , that is with your permission?
