Stalking

Spending an afternoon talking cameras and taking photographs is a wonderful way to conclude a summer weekend. So when my friend Christy purchased her first DSLR (a Nikon D5100), I was more than happy to hang out with her and help introduce another person to the joys of photography. After spending an hour or so with the manual, we ventured out into her yard with our cameras, just meandering around and stopping when something caught our eye. We shot flowers and plants, a few still life scenes, some landscapes and, of course, the pets, who followed us around. While we stalked for photo ops, it turns out that Christy’s cat Pepper stalked us, too. Perhaps she thought it odd that the humans were actually out in the yard hunting!
