Yesterday’s many activities included a thorough watering of the garden since rain has been elusive this week. The chore gave me an excuse to survey the yard, which I hadn’t done in several days. Afterward, I brought out my camera to stalk the Hummingbirds. Unfortunately, the birds weren’t cooperating, but the flowers stood relatively still. During the editing phase, though, I discovered I’d captured more than just the pretty flowers in this image. There’s a hidden resident in this photograph that I wish I’d discovered during the shoot. At first I was disappointed in myself for not seeing it through the viewfinder, but then I realized that it’s probably just camera shy—I guess I know the feeling.
Great colors/macro shot. I love shooting flowers – they’re good clients lol.
Yes, the flowers are so much fun! They are so patient when you’re trying to get just the right angle 🙂
I love the flowers! I’m looking for the hidden resident but cannot see it. Maybe a caterpillar on the underside of one of the leaves?
There’s a small spider hiding under the leaf on the left side of the flower. He’s hard to see, but his curled legs are most visible.
Excellent Capture !
Thank you!
It looks like a tiny green spider under a leaf, I love spiders!!!
Yes, we love spiders, too! Thanks to you!
So, i see the elusive addition enjoying the flowers. Do you have an ID on him?
I don’t have an ID. I should see if I can find him again for a better look. Good idea!
Beautiful capture! Great DOF.
Thank you! I love experimenting with the 105 mm lens 🙂
