Peppermint Waiting

It was just one of those days for Peppermint. First, it started out with a warm, sudsy bath, then the despised nail clipping (bribery with a hot dog barely helps the situation). By then, she realized something was going on. When I packed her food, treats and got out her dog bed, she was instantly at the door, waiting to take her place next to the Tahoe. Our route took us first to the veterinary clinic, where Peppermint received three vaccinations, then to the Stauffer home, where she would be spending the weekend. While it wasn’t the trip she’d anticipated, I’m sure she’s enjoying her sleepover with Payton and will instead be waiting patiently by their truck whenever they pick up her leash.
