This evening I joined my sister-in-law as a guest on her weekly golf league. Golf is one of those activities that reminds me of the current stock market—the results are often swinging wildly one way or the other. It all eventually comes together, but I would describe my game now as in a recession. After a few well-meaning golf lessons the past few weeks, I seem to be in swing meltdown. Fearful of the status of my swing, I focus on each change I’ve made and systematically check them off my list as I stand over the ball. Then, it’s anyone’s guess as to what will happen. Thankfully, tonight’s nine-hole experience was made enjoyable due to the company and the beauty of a Michigan summer evening.
