A Star
Cameron was the star of the day. Playing in his first BRGT, he quickly graduated from the women’s competition by soundly beating all of us with a score of 107. He declined to wear pink today since he was playing with the guys, although it wouldn’t have made a difference. He and Uncle Kevin ended up finishing third overall in the tournament, with Cameron providing the best “women’s” score to his partner’s solid performance in the 18-hole final. Next year he’s relegated to the men’s division!
It’s gratifying to watch Cam enjoying the game of golf. During the first Bragging Rights tournament way back in 1999, he was just an embryo. Now, he’s a golfer I would love to emulate. Sometimes it feels like life passes you by so quickly, but you can’t dwell on the past as there’s always something wonderful to look forward to in the future. I can’t wait to see where Cam’s golf skills take him from here.
