October Rain

We awoke to the aftermath of a cold rain overnight. It was still foggy and damp this morning, but with a hint of sunlight breaking through the clouds there was still promise that the day would become nice. After a short walk around the yard with the camera and the dog, Cam and I ventured off on the errands we had on our lengthy list that took us from Winchester to Front Royal to Culpeper. The sun came out during our afternoon drive—along with strong, gusty winds—but the peaceful morning provided the best photo ops when the day was fresh and the raindrops still clung to the branches.
