When I saw the theme for the Weekly Photo Challenge was the word “Unusual,” I instantly thought of the leopard gecko shoot I had this week. Maybe photographing ground-dwelling lizards native to Pakistan isn’t unusual in itself, but how about two leopard geckos kissing? I’m pretty sure not many photographers have these keywords in their collection!
Cameron’s friend Lila is the proud parent to these cute little guys, who often ride around on her shoulder to visit the neighbors. They like to snuggle and are quite friendly, even to strangers with big lenses. I had fun interacting with them and wouldn’t mind photographing these geckos again when I can experiment with some different props and backgrounds. Hmm. Does that make me unusual, too?

Two leopard geckos kissing definitely qualifies as unusual in my books š
Good photo, They are so cute.. as is the girl…. my grandson had a couple of geckos too, they were always out of thier aquarium.
Thank you! I would have enjoyed these guys as pets when I was a kid. They are a lot more engaging than I imagined!
Delightful photo.

Thanks! She was so happy to have a gecko photo shoot. She smiled the entire time.
