Flipped

The Hill vs. Metz lacrosse game this week featured some intense play. But nothing could compare to the hit that Jack C. took near the end of the game when he and a Metz player went for a loose ball. The Metz player, who outweighed Jack by at least 3o pounds, caught him in the face and flipped him over. The Hill School Sixth Grade Presented “The Legend of Katastrophe Kate” on Thursday, and their two performances brought down the house. Tough Tuesday

If the day starts with a “T” it must be Hill lacrosse. Today’s match was against Highland School, and it was a tough one. Although Hill took a decisive early lead, Highland stormed back and tied the game. In the end, Hill’s star player Harry scored the winning goal with just 48 seconds left. Yellow Flowers

The Hill School tree looked beautiful today with fresh green buds and a field of bright yellow flowers at its base. It was the perfect model for my iPhone and the Pro HDR app. Peppermint and I took a walk up to the tree and admired the scenery now so bright green and fresh. I’m so glad spring has arrived here in Virginia, and I look forward to spending more time outside with my camera.

Thursday Lacrosse

Wow, what fun! That was my reaction after watching and photographing my first lacrosse game today. Hill’s varsity lacrosse team had their opening season game at home when they hosted Wakefield.
