I’d passed by The Mystery Hole in West Virginia far too many times on my trips to and from Kentucky to resist yet another drive by. On this journey in late August I finally decided to stop and explore this magnificent attraction on The Midland Trail.
Unfortunately, on this lovely late Sunday afternoon the line to descend into this popular place was crowded with tourists, and I was unwilling to wait around for a glimpse as another three to four hours of driving lay ahead of me.
I might have taken the time and The Mystery Hole’s “unbelievable” reputation for intrigue, save for one huge disappointment at the entrance: A sign that read “Absolutely No Cameras.”
Looks like that place was MADE for a camera. 😦
Totally true! The outside was fun to photograph anyway.
I like the outside but I’m curious to what is in the hole…
nice one
Thank you!
