I enjoyed reading the WordPress year-end analysis today, which collected information from my blog in 2012. Although I didn’t post as often as I did in 2011, when I took the post-a-day challenge, I still enjoyed a variety of new readers and followers, so thank you very much!
Here’s an excerpt:
4,329 films were submitted to the 2012 Cannes Film Festival. This blog had 13,000 views in 2012. If each view were a film, this blog would power 3 Film Festivals.
I was happy to see that visitors from 89 countries stopped by, which is pretty cool when you consider how the Internet has brought us all together. It was also fun to reflect on the many blogs I’ve visited this year from all over the world, and the many cultures I’ve seen through the eyes of a variety of bloggers, from artists to photographers to writers to students and a myriad of others from many walks of life.
One of my New Year’s resolutions is to spend more time reading the blogs on Freshly Pressed. I fell out of practice last year, and I realized how inspirational they were to my creativity and motivation. It’s the start of a new year and the perfect time for fresh ideas!
