This week it was great to revisit some of the blogs I used to frequent, including Cee’s Photography. She hosts a challenge each week, and this time the featured topic was metal.
It didn’t take me long to find a variety of photos that fit into this theme, but after editing them I decided on this one. I have a substantial collection of scenic photos of Charleston, S.C., but I haven’t really spent much time with them lately.
Charleston is one of my favorite cities, and I’m fortunate that my parents live there. My mom and I often go out on photo expeditions, from the beach to the plantations, downtown and the parks. The decorative gates and metal work around the city are just beautiful, and it’s fun to just walk around and see the beautiful homes and gardens and become inspired.
I am jealous with your Charleston visit. What a fantastic place to spend time at.
Definitely worth the trip. It’s 8 hours from NOVA, so maybe 9-10 from you? Makes a good trip for a long weekend. And there are several scenic routes to take if you have more time and want to stop along the way!
Pralines…I want Pralines !!!
Oh yes. Yum! And the seafood…the best sushi!
Excellent choice for metal. Thanks so much for adding to the fun of this challenge!
Thanks, Cee! And thank you for hosting the challenges; I look forward to the next one!
I also like the column design near by the iron gate too.
Yes, thanks for your comment! I saw that in editing the photo and wish I’d noticed it that day. I may have to try and find this spot again!
