Even though we put in long hours working this week during the USHJA’s World Championship Hunter Rider Palm Beach Spectacular, I totally enjoy my time in Florida.
Yesterday morning I was up early to catch the first riders as they entered the show ring. The light streaming into the Palm Beach International Equestrian Center’s Internationale Arena was stunning, and hanging out with my long-time photographer friends is an added bonus that I look forward to each year.
Unfortunately, I didn’t have time to photograph the birds on this trip, so I think it’s a good excuse to make plans for a return to sunny Florida next month!
A handsome horse.
Thanks, David! Yes, that one was particularly beautiful!
Beautiful focus on the horse, he looks so relaxed and how well turned out he is, every hair in place and chin and nose all smooth and shaved.
Yes, it’s great to photograph them in the morning before they start their day. You are right, every hair is in place and it’s still cool so they’re extra alert and fresh.
