This week’s WordPress Challenge fit in perfectly with my week. We had 20″ of snow, and I spent some time outdoors with my iPhone, capturing images around my home and neighborhood during and after the storm.
I had intended to take out my DSLRs the past few days, but it seemed each time I bundled up to go outside to dig out, it was simply easier to put my phone in my pocket and combine shoveling with photos.
I’ve really enjoyed iPhone photography over the past couple of years, and I’m particularly fond of that spontaneity, which allows you to capture images that you might not otherwise notice or unexpected photo ops in your day-to-day travels.
I have to admit, too, during this storm, with heavy, wet snow, it was less worrisome to have my iPhone out in the elements. I did trip and drop it once in snow, but thankfully after a day of only speaker phone capability, it bounced right back and was ready for more!
Serenely lovely images with a blast of winter’s touches. The last one is perfect for meditation.
A wonderful series of photos.
These photos are great! Reminds me of many Wisconsin winters.
Love the one of the backyard sunrise.
These are fabulous, and certainly fill my need to see snow. I particularly like the edge of the house (3rd one) and the trees. Beautifully done Tricia.
Beautiful compositions I love the long shadows of early morning. When does spring arrive in your part of the world? is it usual to still have snow in March?
Wonderful set of winter photos. This morning we had -25ÂşC / -13ÂşF, but sun will make the day much warmer later.
Thank you for visiting! I visited your blog this afternoon and enjoyed your wide-ranging collection of photos from Finland and beyond. I especially liked all of the winter photos and the snow and ice as we don’t see winters quite like yours. Much milder here. Finland is a beautiful country and thank you for sharing it!
What a lovely home and neighborhood, Tricia! Your iPhone photos are always incredible.
