The iPhone has proven to be a wonderful tool for flower photography, and these days I do keep my eyes open for suitable subjects as I go about my daily routine.
I noticed this flower on a walk with the dog and snapped a few images. It wasn’t all that impressive in that moment, but later when I edited it in Camera+ I was surprised by the detail that appeared.
I’ve been enjoying my iPhone more lately, and I’ve tried some new apps such as Dramatic B/W and FilterMania 2, but I always seem to find my way back to the tried and true Camera+.
For this image I used the Clarity filter, which seems to extract extra detail and gives the photo a bit more punch. Sometimes this filter creates unwanted noise, especially with landscapes, but when it works it works well.
This is amazing ! I never would have guessed it was taken with the iphone. Thanks for the apps mention. There are two I haven’t heard of.
Thanks, Emily! The iPhone is pretty amazing for close ups. I did a little post-production on this but not much.
