I love spring for many reasons, but especially for the new foal photo sessions!
Skyland Farm is thrilled to announce the arrival of C’superman, also known as Clarke Kent!
The bay colt was born at 12:01 a.m. on April 19 and welcomed into the world by Denice and Roy Perry, as well as a variety of Skyland Farm clients and friends who watched at the barn and around the world via the “foal cam.”
Clarke is by Copperman and out of Cirena and was carried to term by the Thoroughbred mare KC.
His birth was overseen and assisted by veterinarian Howland Mansfield of Middleburg Equine Clinic. Special kudos also go to Roy, who helped this long-legged colt get his legs underneath him and stand and nurse for the first time!
At 3 days of age, Clarke is already showing off his beauty and athleticism.
A handsome young one.
Thanks, David! It will be fun to see where his long legs take him in life!
These are gorgeous photos Tricia. I love the foal’s very long legs and the tender moment between the colt and the mare.
Thanks, Betty! His legs are quite long, which made getting up on his own the first couple of days quite challenging. Thankfully, he’s figured it out now!
lovely action, full of life too
