The question asked in today’s Weekly Photo Challenge was to “Express Yourself.”
It’s really an open concept as people express themselves in so many different ways. When thinking about my world, there are a variety of topics that came into mind. I scrolled through the various submissions on the WordPress Daily Post page to see how bloggers were visualizing the theme, and I saw beautiful flowers, children smiling, a muddy water buffalo and even a Belgian statue giving a naughty gesture.
As I’ve been busy working on various projects today, my thoughts on the topic seemed to settle on the more literal. I expressed myself today as a parent, a chauffeur, a chef (OK, this one’s a real stretch!) photographer, writer, editor, designer, team member, communicator, dog walker, house cleaner, student and organizer.
We all express ourselves in so many ways, each vitally important at that present moment to ourselves and others. How would you choose to express yourself today?
Love your photo and covet your cameras. 🙂 I was out and about with my camera today but no cooking here because I’m heading out. 🙂
Thank you, Judy! I enjoyed your take on the theme today. Such a cool shot! I’m just now thinking about getting up to make dinner 🙂 Maybe I’ll express myself tonight as an Italian!
Looks like Edisto.. beautiful shot.
Thank you! Yes, it’s Edisto. Such a cool place to photograph.
Loved shooting there!
Lovely photo.

Thank you, Janet!
An imaginative and strongly inviting composition of nature and human nature.
Thank you, Sally. I’m glad I remembered that day to take in the whole experience. Sometimes I do forget that the human element can make great images and memories.
Nice composition… very interesting!
I like your “today as a parent, a chauffeur, a chef (OK, this one’s a real stretch!) photographer, writer, editor, designer, team member, communicator, dog walker, house cleaner, student and organizer…” – and me today? :”Today as a parent, a grandpa, writer, team member, communicator, cat hugger, a piece of flesh, examined by a doctor…”
you inspired my today’s 140 letter message on twitter:
Thank you and so glad that you enjoyed my post! Today I’m adding “warm lap” to that description as the dog has decided single digit temperatures warrant a different dog bed today.
