We only received about four inches of snow during this last storm, but it was plenty to keep Peppermint entertained today. She enjoyed a few outings around the property, running up and down the driveway and then checking out all of the animal tracks that criss-crossed through the snow.
From deer to turkey to mice (and some I couldn’t ID), we had a variety of creatures that have roamed around and foraged for food in the yard. Those that travel under the snow are especially attractive to Peppermint.
Although she’s an Australian Jack Russell, she doesn’t have many true JR traits. She’s lazy, laid back and rarely barks. But hunting for small mammals is in her DNA, and she loves a good chase, even in the snow!
Adorable and joyous all at once…
Adorable!!!
great looking dog, never heard of an Aussie JR before. 🍀
So cute Tricia.
What a nice fellow! 😀 😉
What a wonderful snow day, great images – it looks like Peppermint is quite happy.
She does love the snow! I think all of that fur keeps her warmer than me in my down coat!
