Our friends Christy and Eric have an amazing yard, which is always immaculate and freshly mown, with nary a weed in sight. Today was our final survey in the Kinloch Wild field. We spent the morning conducting our spot survey and mapped the breeding activity at each site, so it was a wonderful four-hour adventure as we crisscrossed the fields looking for nesting evidence and birds feeding young. I noticed my clematis were coming into bloom over the past few days, so this afternoon I thought I’d take a few minutes and photograph the young flowers before they fully mature and their delicate pink petals fade in the bright sunlight.
