It’s all about the hair. So that’s been Cam’s mantra this year in his quest to grow his hair as long as possible. He’s gone months at a time between cuts, with his father and I doing our best to drag him to the salon. Well, today was an eye-opening experience for both of us when we took our first trip to a real barbershop. The nice girls there immediately scoped out the situation and took control, convincing Cam with praise: “I’m going to name my child Cameron; I love that name” to a bit of friendly ribbing “The girls can see your beautiful eyes now.”

So with my iPhone camera I captured a moment I may never see again: Cam with a buzz cut in progress. And while he wouldn’t let me take any photos of the final product, I know he’s thinking it maybe wasn’t such a bad idea. I kept catching him eyeing his reflection in the rear-view mirror on the way home.
