I spent yesterday visiting Mackinac Island, which is a 3.8-square-mile island in Michigan. Located in Lake Huron, it’s at the eastern end of the Straits of Mackinac, between the state’s Upper and Lower Peninsulas. There are no motorized vehicles allowed, so most everyone walks, bikes or uses horse-drawn carriages to get around.
