Last week, I took some time to attend the CreativeLIVE two-day seminar on iPhoneography with Jack Hollingsworth. Wow, what a great workshop! I was totally blown away by all the fantastic ways you can take and edit photographs with the iPhone. I’ve played with Camera+ and Instagram for the past six months or so, but I really hadn’t taken the time to scratch the surface of these amazing apps.
I love my iPhone camera and have really focused on using it in the past few months to supplement my daily blog photos. Sometimes it’s just not convenient or feasible to carry around my Nikon D3S, so I’ve always tried to bring along either my Panasonic point-and-shoot or my iPhone for when I happen upon a great photo-op. Well, I have to admit my Panasonic has collected dust lately and will likely become even more neglected now that I’ve seen how much more can be accomplished with the iPhone.
Today’s photo was taken with the iPhone and the Camera+ app, employing the Clarity Filter for a little more punch. When my current deadlines are concluded I plan to spend some more time studying the CreativeLIVE workshop course to further improve my editing skills. I would never have imagined 10 years ago that my mobile phone could also become such an integral part of my photo equipment—but I’m certainly glad it has.
