Decorative Drops
We love Fridays, and it’s not just because it’s the day before the weekend. Cam and I have a busy schedule this fall, with each day after school—Monday through Thursday—filled with activities. From school projects, to soccer, to Tae Kwon Do, to homework, we seem to have just about every minute filled. So, when Friday rolls around we’re both ready for a break, and, thankfully, it’s worked out that Friday is our free day.
Today after getting home from school, we both crashed in the family room on this gloomy day—Cam with the Wii and me with a magazine. It wasn’t long before the rain stopped, however, and I looked out into a glistening world. So, of course it was time to roam around the yard with my camera. I enjoyed playing with the raindrops on the leaves and exploring the nooks and crannies I’ve neglected lately. While I’m glad that our lives are filled with fun and learning, having our Fridays for downtime has become a perfect way to finish off our week.

Thank you, Bobbi! I never had a macro lens until last year. It has been a wonderful addition. I feel as if another world has opened for me to see through the lens. For me, it was such a worthwhile investment.

Yes, I thought the same thing, too. These little drops are like jewels. I wish the sun had come out to make them glisten, but maybe next time I’ll have better timing.
