The last time I was in Lexington, Kentucky, I spent one evening driving around just before sunset, getting my camera set up for a shot such as this. It never happened. The sun went down without fanfare, clouds or brilliant colors, leaving me with a disappointing selection of images. Tonight, as I left the United States Hunter Jumper Association reception at the Kentucky Horse Park, the sky was filled with color and drama. I was slightly late for the party and didn’t have time to set up a tripod or even get the full sun, but it was closer to what I’d envisioned. I still haven’t captured that desired image I see in my mind, but that’s one of the reasons I so enjoy the photographic process—often, it’s not as easy as it looks.
Just gorgeous.Wow~
