I’m not into selfies, but once in a while I’ll stumble upon a cool reflection and take a moment to experiment. This beautiful piece of artwork caught my eye last summer while at a garden and art boutique in Michigan.
I’m rarely without a camera, and I’ve found that the little Sony RX100 is a great companion even while out and about with friends. It only takes a moment to pull it out of my pocket and snap away. While my friends get their fix of shopping, I’m able to satisfy my addiction, too!
I edited this slightly in Color Efex Pro using the Detail Extractor filter, but the greenish tint in the reflection was the real color of the glass.
Oooooo…..that is lovely. I would want that one enlarged and framed for display. A selfie which doesn’t scream “selfie!” Love it.
Hmmm. I wouldn’t go that far, Lucinda! Haha! But if I return to there this summer I might consider purchasing the piece for the back deck if it’s affordable. It’s certainly a conversation starter!
Haha! Great pic!
Thanks! It’s one of me I’m OK showing to the blogosphere:)
Great! I really like the bluey-green colour.
Thanks, Stevie! Yes, the color was very cool and kind of iridescent. A very talented artist!
Excellent Tricia! love your “platform”
Thank you, Tina! I much prefer to be behind the camera most of the time 🙂
awesome!
Thanks so very much!
Great shot, and a very interesting piece of art too.
Thanks very much for your comment. It was a fascinating place for art; I hope to return this summer to see what’s new.
Really cool photo.

Excellent Trisha! Really cool.
Why thank you! 🙂
Cool photo Tricia! I much prefer to be behind the camera, but I suppose I should do a selfie also.
Thanks! Yes, sometimes you have to follow the trends! I wouldn’t have posted this if it hadn’t been for the challenge. But I do use these to get outside my comfort zone. This time it was a stretch 🙂
